Fatigue is quickly becoming one of the biggest concerns among firefighters as the province’s wildfire season rages on.
BC Wildfire Service Fire Operations Manager Todd Nessman says the service is beginning to see regular safety concerns with things like slips and falls.
He compared this season to the one the province experienced in 2017, predicting it to also stretch in to September.
There was some optimism though, as Nessman also says favourable weather this week has allowed crews to make good progress on many of the fires.
