According to the Wildfire Service, recent weather conditions have been a near blessing in dealing with forest fires.
Workers on BC’s largest fire, the White Rock Lake Wildfire, say conditions have even caused that blaze to slow down.
In addition, Environment Canada says we can expect cooler temperatures in the Interior today, though that could bring thundershowers with it.
It’s a minor bit of good news for the hundreds of properties still sitting under evacuation alerts and orders in the Interior.
But there are still around 260 fires raging in the province, many of which continue their aggressive behaviour.
