While details were sparse, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh made his intentions clear at a conference in Coquitlam today.
During the event, Singh was critical of the Liberal Government’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic and by proxy, the manufacturing sector.
Singh says years of Conservative and Liberal leadership have led to many manufacturing jobs and profits being shipped overseas, and he says this was no different during the pandemic.
According to the NDP Leader, this both restricted access to protective equipment for essential workers, and harmed supply chains.
Singh says he has a plan that will expand domestic manufacturing capacity and create numerous jobs, though he did not offer much in the way of specifics on the plan.
