Cariboo residents evacuated during the Big Stick #3 order issued on August 3rd can begin coming home.
Last night, the Cariboo Regional District officially downgraded the order to an alert, meaning residents can immediately being their return.
Those returning to the region are asked use the utmost caution in doing so.
Wildfires are still active in the area, and fallen trees, wildlife and livestock, could make the drive more dangerous.
Returning residents are asked to do so via Highway 20.
