Quebec Premier François Legault announced earlier today that the province will be implementing a vaccine passport system sometime in the next few weeks.
Legault also said that details of the system will be released before too long, but he noted that the increasing case numbers in Quebec and the prospect of even more hospitalizations and deaths have made the vaccine passport system a requirement.
The system is expected to allow Quebec to prevent the widespread closures that have marked the province’s pandemic response so far.
Other provinces are looking like they will implement this system as well.
