Some public health restrictions are being re-imposed in the central Okanagan due to an outbreak of COVID-19, primarily among people who are unvaccinated.
The Interior Health authority says masks will be required in all indoor public places in communities including Peachland, West Kelowna, Kelowna and Lake Country.
The region’s chief medical health officer, Dr. Sue Pollock, says residents should plan social events outdoors whenever possible and mask use also is recommended outside if people can’t practice physical distancing.
Pollock says non-essential travel to the central Okanagan is discouraged unless visitors have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
