An outbreak of Covid-19 has been declared at the North Peace Seniors Housing Society apartments in Fort St. John.
Northern Health declared the outbreak as there are 6 confirmed cases among apartment residents.
Residents are being asked to take extra precautions, which include reducing visitors and social interactions. People at risk have been asked to self-isolate. Common rooms have also been closed and cleaning has been increased. Residents are also being asked to monitor for symptoms.
Northern Health and the North Peace Seniors Housing Society are working closely together to ensure enhanced control measures are followed, to protect the health of all residents and staff involved. Once the outbreak is declared it will be in place for 28 days.
