A large blast of winter is expected for Watson Lake today.
A pacific frontal system will be moving through southern Yukon and Northern B.C. that will bring heavy snow and local blowing snow. Between 25 and 45 cm of snow are expected.
Heavy snow will begin to taper off from west to east with snow in Whitehorse easing this afternoon. Periods of snow will continue over Cassiar Mountain and Watson Lake this afternoon and early this evening.
Some strong winds will also accompany this system causing poor visibility. Be sure to check Environment Canada for any weather alerts or updates.
