Prince George RCMP are investigating a fatal collision that happened yesterday.
Yesterday, at approximately 11:20 a.m., the Prince George RCMP received multiple calls reporting a tractor-trailer rollover on Highway 16, east of the city. Initial indications were that a truck was on fire and blocking the entire highway.
Officers found that another vehicle had collided with the tractor-trailer on the scene. The driver of the vehicle, an adult male, was deceased at the scene. The two occupants of the tractor-trailer escaped with non-life threatening injuries and were transported to hospital for treatment. The highway was closed for several hours while officers gathered evidence and crews worked to clear the scene.
The B.C. Coroners Service is investigating to confirm a cause of death. No further information about the deceased will be released, the investigation is ongoing.
