A traffic stop in Prince George led to the seizure of large amounts of drugs.
Yesterday, around 8:30 p.m., officers with the Prince George RCMP executed a traffic stop on Continental Way in the BCR Industrial Site. The vehicle did not have active insurance. Further investigation led officers to detain the driver as part of a drug trafficking investigation.
A search of the vehicle uncovered large amounts of uncut cocaine and cutting agent. The vehicle was also seized as part of the investigation. A search warrant was obtained for a residence on the 2000-block of Central St. East. A search of the residence uncovered a large amount of cash, suspected heroin, drug trafficking paraphernalia and an assault style rifle with a prohibited magazine.
The 30-year-old male from Prince George was later released pending further investigation and charge approval.
