B.C. Hydro has announced some controlled spilling will be going on in Fort St. John.
Controlled spilling is considered a normal part of operations and is designed for the safe and controlled release of water. The spilling will take place at W.A.C. Bennett and Peace Canyon dams. It will take place potentially over the next several weeks.
The controlled spilling will not lead to any flooding, residents may still notice higher river levels during the spill.
