Three aftershocks were felt across BC’s coasts this morning as a result of an earthquake from the night before.
That intial quake struck roughly 200 kms off the coast of Bella Coola and could be felt on the Northern portions of Vancouver Island.
Measuring at a magnitude of 5.6, the first aftershock hit near Bella Bella at roughly 6:00 this morning.
Within minutes of that, two other quakes were felt west of Port Hardy and west of Haida Gwaii, measuring 4.9 and 4.7, respectively.
According to Emergency Information BC, none of the quakes have or are expected to generate a tsunami.
