Smithers Town Councillor Greg Brown has announced his candidacy for the soon to be vacant Skeena-Bulkley Valley NDP MP spot.
Brown, who was born in Kitimat, is currently serving his second turn on Smithers’ Council.
With Brown’s addition, the race to succeed longtime MP Nathan Cullen now has 3 participants, including Smithers Mayor Taylor Bachrach.
Bachrach said he considers Brown a good friend who he harbours a lot of respect for.
NDP members in the riding will meet in Terrace on May 25th to decide who will represent the party in the upcoming federal election.
