Chetwynd RCMP and Peace River Traffic Services are investigating a crash that killed a 76-year-old man over the holidays.
Investigators believe the man was hit by a northbound pickup truck as he attempted to cross Highway 97 about 40 km north of Chetwynd December 21st.
Mounties say the man had been dropped off by another vehicle in the southbound lane just before the incident.
The man was pronounced dead at local hospital.
RCMP say alcohol is not believed to be a contributing factor.
