Enbridge is set to receive a 14.7 million dollar refund from the federal government for their, now defunct, Northern Gateway pipeline.
Intended to connect Alberta’s oilpatch to Kitimat, the plan to build the pipeline became fruitless when Canada banned tanker travel on the north coast.
Canceled in 2016, Enbridge had already sent 14.7 million of the project’s massive pricetag by the time word came down.
According to Enbridge, they are still out 373 million dollars in lost costs from the project.
