A partnership between the province and North Coast Transition Society will give those experiencing homelessness in Prince Rupert a safe, warm place to stay this winter.
BC Housing is extending their operating funding to allow the Society to keep a temporary 25 bed shelter open throughout the winter.
A separate partnership with Keys Resource Centre Society will see a 12 bed extreme weather response shelter open in Fort St James.
These spaces are just some of the more than 23 hundred temporary and extreme weather shelters operating around the province on top of the over 2 thousand permanent shelter spaces.
