What are the differences between manufactured homes and modular homes?

Manufactured homes, also known as mobile homes, feature different building guidelines and construction methods than modular homes. Manufactured homes are built on a steel frame using 2×8 floor joists. All manufactured homes in Canada are built to meet the Canadian Standards Association’s Z-240 guidelines.

Modular homes are constructed to meet the Canadian Standard Association’s A-277 guidelines, which are equal to the standards of the BC Building Code. These homes are typically placed on a crawlspace foundation or basement.

How long does it take until I can be living in my new home?

Move into your new home in as little as a few weeks! If you select a home from our in-stock selection, delivery and setup can be completed in as little as 1 to 3 weeks! If you choose to custom order a home, delivery times will vary but often range between 3 and 4 months.

How are you able to place my home on a foundation?

There are two main methods for placing a home: using a crane, which is preferred when the home has a basement, and the roll-on method, which is used for homes going on concrete pillars. Using the roll-on method, homes are gently rolled into place with beams and ball bearing rollers.

How much do your homes cost?

Prices vary a great deal, depending on the home’s size and options. We have 14 wide homes starting as low as $100,700, including delivery and setup in the Burns Lake area.

What warranty do I get on a new SRI home?

SRI provides you with a 1-year comprehensive warranty. Any warranty issues will be looked after quickly and efficiently by our team at Pine Ridge Modular Homes. You will also receive a 10-year structural warranty.
