A new wildfire northeast of Stewart, along Highway 37, is the only wildfire in the Northwest Fire Centre not listed as held or under control.
Currently covering just 0.01 hectares, little information on the blaze is available at this moment, though the Wildfire Service believes it to be human caused.
Meanwhile, there are 60 active wildfires burning in the province, with 8 of those being fires of note, all of which are located in the Kamloops and Southeast Fire Centres.
A fire near Keremeos Creek, southwest of Penticton is the largest of those, now covering nearly 6,000 hectares.
Fires near Lytton, Lillooet, Briggs Creek, and Connell Ridge have also grown to cover over 1,000 hectares.
All eight fires of note are prompting evacuation orders or alerts in some areas.
