Two new flood resistant bridges have been built in the Cariboo, thanks in part to the Tŝilhqot’inNational Government.
Those bridges are located on Cave Road, 65 kms northeast of Williams Lake, and Knife Creek Road southeast of 150 Mile House.
Both were constructed by the Tŝilhqot’in Eten and Nadiltil Limited Partnership, formed between Formula Contractors, and Dandzen Development, the TNG’s economic development branch.
Each of the steel bridges were constructed using a single-lane, clear span design, with no waterway supports, both increasing flood resiliency, and minimizing environmental impacts.
They were constructed under a $3.04 million contract from the province.
