In an announcement from earlier today, the Province of BC revealed that they will be launching an e-transfer service as part of their upgrades to Emergency Support Services.
E-transfer can now be used in multiple communities by people receiving these services after they get evacuated from a disaster and after they register with the online Evacuee Registration and Assistance tool.
BC residents may need such services if they are forced to leave their homes due to floods, earthquakes and fires and if they can’t contact their family and friends or insurance companies.
With this modernization of the registration system, communities will be able to get evacuated residents quick access to the supports they need as opposed to a lengthy paper process.
