Earlier today, a press event was held by the organizers of ‘For The People – A Cultural Experience’ in Kamloops in order to provide details about the event.
This event is a concert that will held on August 14th in Kamloops and it will see Margit Gossage and Rod Bandura, the event’s organizers and founding members of the Margit Sky Project, perform along with several others at a concert that has been built up as a place where both Indigenous and non-indigenous people can come together to share their cultures, stories and music.
Margit and Rod talked about how the concert will be an experience like no other and that this cultural experience will be a bridge for those who need a break from all the challenges that the world presents.
The concert has attracted support from the city of Kamloops itself, the Kelson group as it’s main sponsor, Community Futures Development Corporation of Central Interior First Nations and Tourism Kamloops.
Members of the Kamloops Symphony are going to performing at the concert as well.
The concert’s preparations are reportedly almost done.
