Northern Health has sent out a report stating that there has been an increase in overdoses in Prince George recently.
The Health Authority has issued an alert about a light or bright neon pink substance being sold as a mixture of drugs known as “down.”
The drug is supposedly highly toxic and could potentially cause prolonged sedation as well as memory loss.
The report also mentioned that people can overdose on the drug when the substance is both smoked and injected at the same time.
