A poll that was conducted by the Angus Reid Institute has found that not many BC residents are happy with the idea of lots of money going into the plan to rebuild the Royal BC Museum.
According to the official numbers, 69 percent, or 1 in 5 citizens, are opposed to the $789 million plan to rebuild the Museum, which was introduced back in May.
The main reason for the backlash against the plan is due to many residents believing the funds would be better spent on more pressing issues such as the doctor shortage, the sky high gas prices or the housing crisis.
Even when the Province listed off reasons as to why the rebuild is necessary and making it clear that the funds for this project would not affect the funds going towards helping to deal with BC’s biggest issues, many residents are still not pleased with the project’s price tag.
