Indigenous Services Canada released a new report on how COVID is impacting Indigenous communities earlier today.
As of today, there have been 78 156 confirmed COVID cases in First Nations communities, with 4,125 active cases.
There have also been a total of 2,691 hospitalizations since the pandemic started, and 625 deaths reported.
Across the country, First Nations communities saw a 13.2 percent decrease in cases compared to last week’s drop of 3.8 percent.
A little over 86 percent of people 12 and older living in First Nations, Inuit, and territorial communities have gotten two vaccinations.
