Earlier today, the federal government released a report about climate change risks that could potentially affect Canadians.
The report had it’s 2nd chapter written by the National Collaborating Centre for Indigenous Health, and it’s about how climate change affects the health of Indigenous peoples.
The chapter explains that since First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples have a close relationship with nature, they are very sensitive to the impacts of climate change.
Another one of the chapter’s talking points is about these effects being both interconnected and far reaching, including causing issues with food and water security.
