Earlier today, Canada Post announced all 25 winners of their 2021 awards for Indigenous students.
These awards are given out every year to First Nations, Inuit and Métis students in order to celebrate the effort they give in their pursuit of knowledge.
The winners also receive $2,000 in addition to their award.
Three of this year’s winners came from BC, Krystal McKay, Tamara Huang and Nakoa Faulconer.
These awards are open to every Indigenous Canadian student who completed one entire year of study after not being in school for at least 12 months.
To apply for eligibility, students need to write than submit an essay about all they’ve overcome to continue their education.
More details are available at Canada post’s website.
