High School students graduating from the Charles Hays Secondary School or Pacific Coast School could potentially receive some help paying for university or college.
The Gitmaxmak’ay society will be offering up to four $1,000 bursaries to registered students of the aforementioned schools.
However, there are multiple requirements that must be met in order to be eligible for a bursary.
The student needs to be a registered Nisga’a citizen within the Gitmaxmak’ay district and have a proof of citizenship number.
The candidate needs to be going to college or university in September of this year.
The bursary needs to be applied for by November two years after graduation.
The university or college where the applicant is going be learning must know of the registration 30 days before the bursary is distributed.
Application must be done on the general form in a society provided booklet and then submitted along with a cover letter.
