Security at the Country’s Capital have issued a warning to MP’s regarding possible risks associated with the trucker-led Freedom Rally descending on Ottawa.
That warning advises Ministers to protect themselves from potential doxxing, an act of revealing the private information of public figures, usually with the intent to cause trouble.
Last weekend, truckers referring to themselves as a Freedom Convoy, began their trek to Parliament Hill with the goal of staging a demonstration in opposition to freshly enacted border vaccination mandates.
A Go-Fund-Me which was started to support the effort has raised over 6 million dollars to date, though Go-Fund-Me has so far refused to release the funds.
Multiple conservative MP’s, including Prince George’s Bob Zimmer, and party head Erin O’Toole have spoken out in favor of the convoy in recent days, though the majority of Liberal and NDP MP’s remain opposed to the protest.
The demonstration is expected to begin on Saturday but Parliament security are preparing for protesters to begin arriving today.
