British Columbia is reporting 2,275 new cases of Covid-19, as of Friday night.
That brings the province’s active case total to 35,943, with 646 in hospital, and 95 in ICU.
It’s the first report of the Ministry’s new strategy of reporting what they call bed census data.
That means from now on, hospitalization numbers will include incidental hospitalizations; or those who went to hospital for another reason, but were determined to have Covid.
Of the new cases, 227 come from Northern Health, and 412 are from the Interior.
Six new deaths were reported, with two in the Interior, and none in the North.
