British Columbia is reporting 2,554 new cases of covid-19, as of last night.
That brings the province’s active case total to 36,049, with 534 in hospital, and 102 in ICU.
That represents the most hospitalizations the province has seen during the pandemic, breaking the record set in April of last year.
Of the new cases, 304 come from Norther Health, while 462 are from the Interior.
Seven new deaths were reported, with one in the Interior, and none in the North.
Otbreaks at the Lakeview Lodge, Hamlets in Vernon, and Brocklehurst Gemstone in the Interior bring the province’s active outbreak total to 53.
