One of Prince George’s most popular winter events, the Coldsnap Music Festival has been postponed indefinitely.
Originally scheduled to start on January 28th, the week-long festival had slated around 40 artists to play the festival.
As opposed to last year’s event, where all performers were from BC, and able to drive-in for the event, most of this year’s lineup was set to fly in.
With travel being a prominent cause of Omicron spread, the Prince George Folkfest Society has decided to delay the event.
No new date has been announced as of yet, but the Society says they will honour all purchased tickets for the new dates, or offer refunds.
They are attempting to ensure the rescheduled event has as similar a lineup and schedule to the previous plan as possible.
Existing ticket holders will be contacted with their options moving forward, and further sales are currently suspended.
