RCMP are seeking witnesses to a fatal collision involving a transport truck and a pick up north of Chetwynd last week.
Police were called out to the scene of the collision on Highway 97, 25 kms north of Chetwynd, just before 1:00 in the afternoon on January 4th.
A northbound pick up truck had been attempting to legally pass a transport truck in his lane.
While the pick up was attempting the pass, a southbound transport truck lost control in the slippery conditions, and the trailer slid in to the path of the pick up.
The driver of the pick up passed away as a result of his injuries, while a passenger, identified as his son, and the drivers of the transport trucks escaped with minor injuries.
Now, the BC Highway Patrol is looking for witnesses of the incident, or anyone with dash cam footage from around that time.
