It’s a new week, but we’ve got the same old weather warnings in Northern BC.
An arctic outflow warning that has been covering the north coast since late last week will continue.
That means coastal sections as far south as Bella Coola, as well as inland sections like Terrace and Kitimat, can expect windchill values approaching -20.
Further east, in the Cariboo and Bulkley Valley, things get a bit chillier, with an extreme cold warning in place.
That means temperatures in the -40s after windchill in Quesnel, Williams Lake, the Bulkley Valley and Lakes, and everywhere in between.
Houston, and the area around it are also facing an air quality advisory prompted by fine particular matter kicked up by the recent weather.
Both the Peace Region North and South also find themselves under an extreme cold warning, the worst of them all.
Areas of Chetwynd, Dawson Creek, and Fort St John can expect windchill values hitting -50.
