Both the City of Terrace and the District of Kitimat have announced how yesterday’s new Covid restrictions will impact recreational services.
In Terrace, the Sportsplex will be issuing refunds to those who had booked fitness classes.
At the Terrace and District Aquatic Centre, gym memberships can either be refunded or added back to your accounts for future use.
All booked non-seated events at either facility are cancelled, and seated events are restricted to 50 percent capacity.
In Kitimat, the weight and cardio rooms at both the Tamatik Jubilee Sports Complex, and Riverlodge Recreation Centre are closed.
Fitness classes, and all events at either facility are cancelled.
Some activities still allowed in both communities include: drop-in sports, public swimming and skating activities, and sports excluding tournaments.
Both Terrace and Kitimat will be contacting those with cancelled events and passes in the coming weeks to discuss possible refunds.
