Earlier today, a debate regarding the flooding crisis in the southern part of BC took place.
And during said debate, the BC Liberals were very critical of how the NDP handled not just this disaster, but a couple of other disasters earlier in the year.
The Liberals also listed off steps that they think should be taken in order to improve how the province handles disasters like the floods.
The first step they mentioned is to create an all-party working group to look at how the provincial government responds to disasters, and then see how it could be improved.
Step two is to make sure that everything needed for the Alert Ready System is ready for use.
Step three is to hold regular public briefings to keep everyone up to date on how potential disasters are being handled.
Yesterday, the provincial government declared a state of emergency due to the flooding in the southern part of BC.
