As projects to improve internet connectivity in the North get underway, the Coastal First Nations Connectivity Network is getting ahead of the curve.
The Network looks to train groups of community leaders to help rural and remote communities along BC’s Central and North Coast access and leverage improved broadband.
Through the project, CFN hopes to deploy digital infrastructure and on the ground training, teach digital skills to smaller communities, and create up-scaling opportunities for those communities.
Now, the project has gained a new partner as The Digital Technology Supercluster has invested 200 thousand dollars in the program.
In total, that brings the program’s one-year funding to 725 thousand.
