More than 60 million dollars invested in infrastructure repairs in the Cariboo may still not be enough, according to Transport Minister Rob Fleming.
Fleming, who recently toured the District, says total costs to repair flood and water damage to Cariboo roads could be in the hundreds of millions.
The province has committed to investing 60 million dollars in slide and washout repairs in the CRD this year, on top of 30 million invested last year.
Heavy work to repair sites in the area has already been conducted this summer, but the work is far from complete.
Fleming says the province is going through the Federal application process to acquire disaster relief funds.
