Fully Vaccinated Canadians will be able to cross over to the U-S border when November 8th comes around, but residents in BC are being warned that they should not expect to be able to dip into the States for a simple purpose like groceries or Gas.
Officials from the White House revealed the re-opening date earlier today, but it hasn’t been made clear if residents with doses of the vaccine will be able to cross the border, and it also will not change our country’s demand for a COVID test so people can get back into Canada.
Chrystia Freeland , the Deputy Prime Minister, has given confirmation that Canada is standing by it’s desire to make P-C-R tests, which is a molecular analysis that is able find the genetic material that is the cause of COVID-19, mandatory.
Business leaders from Point Roberts, a small community south of Vancouver that can only be accessed by land through Canada, are saying that the requirement for these P-C-R tests will keep limiting the community’s visitors, which are key to the town’s economy.
