October 15th Covid-19 Update

British Columbia is reporting 580 new cases of Covid-19 as of last night.

That brings the active total in the province to 5,348, with 153 in ICU.

Of the new cases, 129 are from the Northern Health Region, more than all but the Fraser Health Region.

An additional 104 cases were from the Interior.

There have been nine new deaths reported over the past 24 hours, with five in the Interior, and one in the North.

Over the past two weeks, 75 percent of new Covid cases are among those who are not yet fully vaccinated.
