In order to help raise awareness for Intimate Partner Violence, The Quesnel Fraser River Footbridge is going be lit with the color purple this Saturday.
On the same day, a video will be filmed and an event will be hosted by the Amata Transition House to make sure that the public understands the different roles people can play when it comes to preventing this violence.
A pair of people in the form of Quesnel school board chair Tony Goulet and Nazko Chief Leah Stump will be making an appearance at the bridge on the day to give a speech.
The Film that the Transition House is creating will be released a couple of days later on Monday.
Amata Transition House also happens to be one of six organizations in the Cariboo region to get a $9,000 donation via Chemo RV.
