CGL Workers Near Kitimat Reach Project’s Highest Peak

Coastal GasLink workers reached new heights recently when it comes to the construction of their 670 km pipeline.

Coming in at approximately 1,450 metres high, the Icy Pass east of Kitimat is the highest passage workers must access.

Workers on the area designated Section 8 reached the peak last month.

In total, 59 percent of grading on Section 8, which approaches Kitimat, has been completed, with 83 percent of clearing.

So far, just over 8 percent of pipeline installation in the mountain-covered stretch has been completed.
