British Columbia is one of the most beautiful places in the world, and new provincial investments will make exploring it even better.
Today, the government announced more than 21 million dollars in funding to improve BC Parks.
That money will go towards upgrading and repairing trails, upgrading facilities, and new campsites.
Two parks in the Northwest will benefit from the investment, including Babine Mountains Provincial Park near Smithers, and Lakelse Lake Provincial Park, south of Terrace.
The investment is part of 83 million dollars in investments to improve outdoor recreation in the province.
BC Parks is consulting with Indigenous and local organizations across the province to determine additional projects.
