As BC navigates its way through the messy fourth wave of Covid, Indigenous vaccination rates are falling behind.
In an effort to change that, the First Nations Health Authority is launching their VaxChamp program.
Indigenous residents have a lower vaccination rate than many other demographics, especially among the 19-29 age group.
Through collaborations with various influencers, such as CFNR’s Kiefer Collison, the program hopes to alleviate concerns and convince residents to get vaccinated.
Throughout the month of October, you can share photos of yourself on social media, along with your reason for getting vaccinated, with the hashtag VaxChamp.
By doing so, you will be entered for a chance at prizes, including a 500 dollar gift card, and help bring an end to the pandemic.
