While reactions to yesterday’s first National Truth and Reconciliation Day were mixed among Indigenous bands, the BCAFN is in support.
In honour of yesterday’s event, and the simultaneous Orange Shirt Day, the Assembly is ensuring those lost are not forgotten.
In honour of the historic day, the Assembly took a pledge yesterday to always remember and honour the truths of survivors of the Residential School system.
In addition, today is the final day of a 5 day event put on by the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation which provides online education.
