In the Cariboo region, the students returning to School are expected to be to returning to a pretty close to normal classroom setting, as all the teachers and administrators get ready for yet another year of COVID-19 protocols.
School District 27 Superintendent Chris van der Mark stated that the scheduling for this year was made a bit easier with the removal of the cohort system, which limited Elementary students to groups of 60 and groups of 120 for secondary school students.
And with no more cohort system, there will also no longer be two-metre distancing requirements and van der Mark also said that people are excited for the return of both school sports and inter-school sports.
And while van der Mark acknowledged that many families were hoping that there were no longer mask requirements, he made sure to mention that he believes that a lot of people understand the concerns that the very notable Delta Variant has caused.
