The B-C government says people who have been evacuated and whose properties have been affected by wildfires may access some additional financial support.
The Ministry of Public Safety says two-thousand dollars is available to people whose primary residence has been severely affected by fire as well as households evacuated from the Lytton region, while 12-hundred dollars is available for households under mandatory evacuation order for longer than 10 days in a row.
Emergency Management B-C says about three-thousand-700 properties are on evacuation order, down from nearly eight-thousand-200 a week ago.
It says residents of nearly eleven-thousand-300 properties must be ready to leave on short notice, down from more than 23-thousand properties covered by evacuation alerts last week.
