Yet another Evacuation order has been sent out by the Cariboo Regional District, this time, it’s for 13 parcels of land in Moose Valley due to the Flat Lake Wildfire heading towards the area.
This order was issued earlier today and covers over 10,600 hectares of land and this alert will be taking the place of another particular alert issued for the Flat Lake North area back on July 16th as well as part of another alert for the Flat Lake-Green Lake Area, which was issued back on August 7th.
Residents in the area are being asked to escape on the Gustafson Lake FSR and take their journey to 100 Mile House.
An Emergency Service centre has been created in 100-mile house’s community hall, which is located at 265 Birch Ave.
The Flat Lake Wildfire was most recently estimated to cover around 62,895 hectares.
