According to the Cariboo Fire Service, a recently discovered wildfire near Bouchie Lake showed no overnight growth.
The fire, which is located near Hangman Springs, just west of the Pinnacles provincial park, was first discovered yesterday afternoon. A firefighting helicopter was able to prevent the fire from spreading.
As of today, the fire is listed as covering 0.2 hectares.
Seven personnel were assigned to hold the fire in it’s current place, and the fire has been suspected to have been created by a lightning strike.
