Firefighters from Yukon are on the way to B-C to help crews battling hundreds of wildfires.
A statement from the territory says one of its two air tanker groups arrived in Prince George yesterday for a 14-day deployment.
The statement says wildfires have been challenging this year in Yukon, but cooler, wetter conditions are in the forecast and officials are confident the air tanker group can be spared.
The Yukon team is ready to return home on 24-hours’ notice, if required.
