“Coming Together” one-day event on Monday, August 2, 2021.
Since the pandemic, the devastating news of the finding of the 215 remains of children from the former Kamloops Residential School, and the recent loss of the village of Lytton, we need to come together in unity, thus our unspoken theme this year will be, “Reopen, Reconnect, Reunite, and stand Resilient.” This is a time of coming back together, to heal together.
Lynn Parker and Lorna Brown will be hosting this year’s 1st Annual “Coming Together” event on Monday, August 2, 2021, from 11:00am – 3:00pm at the George Little Park, Terrace, BC.
The City of Terrace is assisting this event by closing Main Street for the Healing Walk and also the use George Little Park.
We are inviting you all to join us at the Healing Walk. Meet at City Hall at 11:00 am, we will walk down Main Street, turning on Kalum Street, and walking into George Little Park.
**Wear your Orange T-shirts!!**
At the park, we will start with a moment of silence, prayer, welcoming, acknowledgement speeches from dignitaries from surrounding areas.
We are confirming all the activities that will take place at the park.
